Medical authorization software: what private clinics should ask for
What authorization software should solve
The software should solve three things before promising AI: which authorization is pending, which is at risk, and which is approved but still could be lost through expiry or billing.
Minimum features
Look for a daily queue by insurer, status, appointment date, expiry, denial reason, internal owner and next action. Add change log, administrative approval before submission, reviewable attachments and management export.
Questions to evaluate vendors
Ask whether the system separates denials from expiries, how it records approvals, what happens when an insurer changes a portal, what data leaves the clinic and who approves each submission.
Why SaludComply starts with diagnosis
Before selling software, it is worth knowing whether there is enough loss. Low-volume clinics with almost no denials may not need an authorization agent. High-volume clinics with several portals and frequent expiries should quantify the range before the demo.
